Job Description
As an integral member of our team, the Grants Specialist will support federal grant lifecycle activities, including application development, award processing, monitoring, and closeout functions. The Grants Specialist will ensure compliance with all necessary regulation, assist in tracking financial and programmatic performance, and support accurate documentation and reporting throughout the grant administration process. The Grants Specialist for SRP Partners will be expected to:
Assist project managers in tracking project progress, ensuring the timely achievement of milestones, and adjusting timelines or resource allocations as needed.
Coordinate pre-award, post-award, and closeout processes for state and federal grants.
Conduct research and analysis on various compliance topics including financial controls, grant outcomes and deliverables, eligibility, program delivery, compliance with federal procurement protocols, and general CDBG best practices.
Handle reimbursement processing and financial reconciliations, including auditing contractor invoices and tracking line-item budget balances.
Maintain positive and effective engagement with clients and stakeholders, providing timely follow-ups and supplying necessary support to address client needs.
Offer technical support to clients and stakeholders as needed.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, public policy, public administration, or a closely related field
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in federal grants management compliance, including compliance and policy knowledge related to CDBG grants
Ability to interpret and apply federal and US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) statutes and guidance, as well as Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) applicable governing sections
Must be a U.S. citizen or otherwise lawfully authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with pre-award, post-award, and closeout processes for CDBG, FEMA, and USDA grants.
Strong communication and analytical skills
Extensive knowledge of 2 CFR Part 200 compliance
Experience with FEMA’s resilience, hazard mitigation, and other grant programs, including BRIC, and FMA, as well as HUD’s CDBG grants
Compensation & Benefits
The compensation range for this role is $32/hr. to $46/hr.
Compensation is dependent upon education history and professional background, prior experience, and skill level, according to existing contractual requirements.

Travel Requirement
Some positions may require travel to disaster-affected areas for an extended period, on a case-by-case basis. Successful candidates must be willing and able to work in deployed status, away from home. When required, travel costs (including per diem) will be reimbursed at prevailing GSA rates.
